Angel Girl

By using this tutorial you agree to my terms

Feel free to use your own colors for this.

For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8 .

You will also need Eye Candy 3.

You will need some brushes from Digital Art Resources PSP Presets

You will need my alpha channel canvas here.  You will click on the layer in the layer palette then go to Selections/Load/Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha channel. I have the layers turned off   on the canvas. For each step you will turn it on  the layer.

1. Choose the paint brush you want for the wing. I used the tp-tight tissue preset. Foreground color #A5C8E5, Background color #FFFFFF.  Load wing selection from alpha channel. Paint all over the wing and get the pattern you like. deselect  Click on the lock in the layer pallet. Switch to air-brush using these settings. I use the basic tole painting I learned from Wendy at WBG Web Creations. My favorite way of shading.

Spray around the edges with color #305876. Unlock the layer pallet by clicking the lock again. Gaussian blur 2 then apply Eye Candy jiggle with these settings.  Bubble size 8, Warp Amount 6, Twist 5, Brownian motion.  Mirror image then add new layer and load wing selection again. Do the same for this wing as before. You don't really want both wings to be exactly the same.

2. Click on leg layer, load leg alpha channel. Flood fill with  #FBDCB0. Lock layer pallet and use air brush to shade the edges.

3. Load toes alpha channel on toes layer. Use same color as above. Lock layer pallet and use air brush to shade edges. Gaussian blur 1. Turn off the 2 wing  and background layers. Merge visible the leg and toes layers. Duplicate and mirror image.

4. Click on hair back, load hair back alpha  channel. I used #F5CC36, #FFFF7B. Feel free to use your own colors. Use the Hair-tight curls paint brush preset that came with PSP8 size 22. Paint all over the selection.

5. Load the dress alpha channel.  Set background color to #5B93C6, and foreground color to #084AA4. Flood fill with #5B93C6. Deselect  Lock layer pallet. Click on paint brush and choose tp-dry brush use the foreground color and paint your design on. When you have it the way you want use the airbrush for shading using a darker color of the background color.

6. Load the ruffle alpha channel. Flood fill with #D0D1D4. Lock layer pallet and apply cut out with these settings. Vertical -1, horizontal 0, opacity 100, blur27, color white. Unlock layer and gaussian blur at 2. Apply eye candy jiggle with these settings, Bubble size 5, warp amount 7, twist 73, brownian motion.

7. Load the right sleeve alpha channel and do the same as you did for the dress in Step 5. but change the size to 30. Do the same for the left sleeve.

8. Load the collar alpha channel. Do the same as you did in Step 6 on the ruffle.

9. Click on the dress layer and lock the layer. Use the air brush apply some of the dark blue color you used below the collar and above the ruffle.

10. Load the neck alpha channel. Flood fill with #FBDCB0. Lock layer pallet and air brush color #B86504, around edges. Use soften tool to smudge the bottom of the neck area so it wont look so sharp.

11. Load the head alpha channel. Do the same as above.

12. Add new layer for the face. You can use my face supplied in down load or make your own.

13. Load the heart alpha channel. I used the tp-SpatterPaint brush with these colors. Foreground # 852122, background #E69090. Lock the layer and air brush around edges with dark color.

14. Load the right fingers alpha channel. Use the same color as the head. For the shadow color change it to #6F3103. Change to the draw tool line size 1, point to point, create as vector checked. Start at the left of finger click, then click the other side. Click on the node. Right click on canvas to edit node type/symmetric. Pull the arrow out so the line is curved.  Click on and make the rest of the finger lines. Right click on the layer pallet and convert to raster layer. Gaussian blur 0.75 or 1.

15. Load the halo alpha channel, flood fill with #F7E35A. Go to Effects, texture effects, sculpture and apply these settings.

Hope everyone had fun with this.
