Feel free to use your own colors for this.

Do what ever you want to do with it.

For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8  or PSP 7.

This was written in 8 but will work with out any problems in 7.

You will need my balloon canvas which you can get here.

 Or you can make your own balloon using vectors.

Open balloon canvas and click on the nub layer.  Click on selections/Load/Save Selections/

Load selection from Alpha selection. Click on the nub, flood fill with your choice of color.

I'm using #D273DC, lower opacity to  22 to 33. Add new layer. Click on  cut out

apply these settings.  vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 50, blur 10, shadow color #D273DC.

Add new layer and repeat cut out changing the vertical and horizontal to -2. Deselect.

You  can turn off the background and balloon layer and merge nub layers if you like.

 Select the  balloon layer in the layer pallet. Click on selections/Load/Save Selections/

Load selection from Alpha selection. Select  the balloon layer.

Flood fill with your color lower opacity to  22 to 33.  Add new raster layer.

Click on  cut out apply these settings.

Vertical 20 and horizontal 15, opacity 50, blur 50 shadow color is the same.

Add new layer and repeat cut out settings changing the vertical to -20 and horizontal to -15.

 Do NOT deselect.

Add new raster layer.  Choose the preset shape ellipse make a small oval shape turn

a little sideways as in screen shot. . Convert to raster layer

gaussian blur 3 to 5 %.  Turn off background layer and nub layer and merge

visible balloon layers.  

That's all there is to a Easy Balloon.

Just add a ribbon string to it or what ever other

adornment you like.
