Now we are going to work on the buds and flowers.

Use preset shape ellipse. I used color #f99d5c. Add new vector layer name it flower buds. Move it below the buds layer. Make a small oval  similar to the one in the first screen shot.  To add a node hold down the Ctrl button on key board mover curser on line where you want to add a node and you will get this then click on left mouse button and you will add a node. Add 2 nodes as in the second screen shot. Right click and change node to cusp.  Turn the bottom handle in like screen shot. Make 2 others as in last screen shot.

Lower the opacity of the stem, leaf and bud layers. It is easier for me to see where to put the flowers. Make an oval and turn it as in 1st screen shot below. Grab the nodes (as in 2nd screen shot) and turn them up. Right click on the left middle node and choose asymmetric. Move the bottom node handle up as in 3rd screen shot.

This is how mine turned out.

Now you need 5 more petals. Click on the Object selection tool,  . In the layer pallet click on the duplicate layer button. Click on the petal and move it to where you want. Now you will have the adjustment box and can rotate and move to where you want. Click on the pen tool the make adjustments you want to the nodes.

This is what I came up with. Now you just need to make 2 more flowers.

Ok now all the drawing is done. Save your image if you haven't done so already. Check your layers to make sure you have them the way you want. I like to save one copy of my images in vector layers. Make a copy of the image shift+D then close the original. Convert each layer to raster layer.
