Make them any way you want.

This is just how I make them and you can do them your way.

For this tutorial you will need Eye Candy 4000 (optional) and Jasc PSP

The flower that I used here are from my Sun Flower tutorial. Feel free to use what ever you like for the decorations.

We will be drawing with the preset shape and draw tool.

Open image 500X700.

Set your foreground color to #AB5ABC, background color to #DCB4E2. Or choose your own colors. Choose the preset shape Dodecagon,line width 1, antialias and create as vector checked.

draw out a circle starting at , ending at or close to that size. Click on object selector , put cursor on canvas and right click and choose . Pull out every other one of the nodes as in screen shot. Put cursor on one of the nodes and double click to select all. Right click and choose node type/symmetric. Choosing the symmetric makes all the point rounded. Now click any where on canvas to deselect nodes. Now you can put the nodes into the shape you want. When you get the shape you want convert to raster layer.

Now use the selection tool set to circle. Draw out a circle starting at 250X250 to 273X273 hit delete.

Change the preset shape to eclipse. Set foreground color to #D9929D and background to white. Draw out a circle shape for the head. Now for the fun parts. LOL Switch to the draw tool, line width 1, antialias and create as vector checked. You can use the type style you are comfortable with. I use the bezier curve the most. It is easiest for me to make nice curves with it. You can edit your curve or line with the node edit. Now draw him some cheeks and wrinkles. You can duplicate each one and mirror image for the other side of his face. When you get this part done like you want merge visible.

Note: If you want to apply Eye Candy Jiggle do it before you merge parts.

Click on the lock in the layer palette to lock the transparence. Apply cutout. vertical and horizontal 0, opacity 80, blur 30, color #D9929D. Add noise 10%

Next is his chin and mouth and lips. Switch to the draw tool, line width 1, antialias and create as vector checked. Draw out his chin, add noise 10%

For the mouth use preset shape circle to fit just inside of lip. Lock in transparence apply cutout same setting change color to 8E3846, apply noise same as before.

Draw out upper lip and do same as above. Duplicate layer and mirror image.

For the nose use the preset shape triangle. Darker shade of color you used for the mouth. Click on object selector , put cursor on canvas and right click and choose . Put cursor on one of the nodes and double click to select all. Right click and choose node type/symmetric. Adjust the nodes till you get the nose shape you like.

For his eyes use preset shape, black for the foreground. Make circle or oval eye. Ctrl/A/F, to select then selections/modify/contract by 1. Click on the lock in the layer palette to lock the transparence. Use the air brush to color the middle of his eye, (blue) then switch to black to color the top put a dot of white for high light. For the eye lashes us draw tool size 1.

Use draw tool same settings for whiskers.

Teeth are done the same way too.

You should have something like image below.

Click on layer under head.

Use preset shape ellipse make oval ear use arrows to turn it to the right. Ctrl/A/F to select all. Selection/modify/contract by 10 flood fill with #E1B1B9, add noise 10%. Deselect Duplicate and mirror image.

Use draw tool as before (line width 1, antialias and create as vector checked. You can use the type style you are comfortable with. I use the bezier curve the most.) and draw out top part of ear, trying to match areas as in screen shot.

Do the same for the other ear.

Arm and legs are done in the same way. I started with the oval preset shape, then added the lower part of the arm using the draw tool. Then I drew on the fingers. Merge the layer and add noise 10% and apply the cut out. Duplicate arm and mirror image.

Now do the same for the feet and tail.

Draw his hat in the same way. For the weave look apply eye candy weave using these settings.
