By using this tutorial you agree to my terms Feel free to use your own colors for this. For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8 and Eye Candy 4000. You will need my alpha channel canvas and supply's. The Eye Candy 4000 weave preset goes into the Weave folder. I got weave preset from Jo-Ellen's Hutch tutorial. Thank you Jo-Ellen for letting me use it. You can get Jo-Ellen's gradients here. You will need a lace tile. I get mine from Opal's Place I got the hair brush called goldilocks from. Digital Art Resources PSP Presets
1. Load shoe alpha channel on the
shoe layer. Flood fill with red #C00000. Click on the lock 2. Load the leg alpha channel on the leg layer. Flood fill with #D7A92D. Apply blinds effect width 4, opacity 29, horizontal unchecked, color 643A14. 3. Load the ruffle alpha channel on the ruffle layer. Flood fill with a lace tile, angle 0, scale 75. I used Opal lace #4. Click on adjust and go to brightness/contrast. Set brightness to 62 contrast 0. Add a drop shadow check the box to have shadow on it own layer. The erase all but what is on the top of the shoe. Turn off all layers but the shoe, lace, shadow and leg layers. Merge visible then duplicate and mirror image. You can turn layer back on as we go along. 4. Turn on dress layer. Load the dress alpha channel on the dress layer. Flood fill with #C00000. Lock the layer. Use air brush with these settings.
Spray around the edges for shading. I learned this tole shading from Wendy Use color #40000. We will add some more shading in a bit. 5. Load the dress ruffle alpha channel on the dress ruffle layer. Flood fill with same lace and setting as you did before. 6. Now we are going to finish our shading. Use the air brush as before but we are going to change the Thickness to 8 and Rotation to 148. Click on the dress layer. Add new layer and load dress selection again. We are going to make some more shading lines. I put them to the side of the points of the ruffle. Gaussian blur 2 to 4. Add drop shadow as before. I use vertical and horizontal 0, opacity 80, blur 11, color #400000. You should have some thing like below.
7. Load the apron alpha channel on the apron layer. Flood fill with 008000. Lock the layer transparence and apply the shadow effect as in step 4 shadow color #003800. Add new layer and load apron selection again. Make your shading lines as you did above. 8. Load the waist band alpha channel on the waist band layer. Invert and apply drop shadow, vertical 1, horizontal -1, opacity 100 and blur 13. You should have some thing similar to image below.
9. Load the right hair layer. Click on the paint brush and use the animal fur generator or goldilocks. For the header on here I used the animal fur one and for the image on the bottom I used the goldilocks. Use these settings.
I used colors #B86504 for the foreground, # F2D828 for the background. Use any colors you like. Paint the whole selection don't have to be picky with it right now. Deselect. Now you have to be a bit careful getting close to the edges. Just click close to the edge you still want some of the curved shape of the hair. Change the Rotation to get the hair going in different directions. Clicking the left and right mouse at different times will also get the colors different too. You can do this in layer too and add a little drop shadow to get a layer look. For the goldilocks brush just make wavy lines going down. Don't change the rotation. 10. Do the same as above for the left hair layer.
11. Load the hand alpha channel on the hand layer. Flood fill with # FBC999. Lock the transparency and air brush with #B86504 around the edges. Duplicate layer and mirror image. 12. Load the right sleeve alpha channel. Flood fill with same lace using same settings. Apply same brightness/contrast settings. Lock transparency and apply shadows using color #808080. Gaussian blur 2 to 4. Adjust hand under the sleeve. 13. Do the same for the left sleeve and hand. 14. Load the collar alpha channel on collar layer. Flood fill with lace tile and apply same brightness/contrast settings. Click on float layer and apply cut out. Vertical -1, horizontal 1, opacity 80, blur 6, color #404040. Duplicate layer and mirror image. 15. Load head alpha channel on head layer. Flood fill with #FBC999, lock transparency and air brush shadows using color #B86504. 15 Add new layer name it face. Use paint brush set at 10 or to the size you like. Color your choice for the eyes. Apply the round inner bevel. Do the same for the nose but use the cut out t vertical and horizontal 0, opacity 75, blur 5 #FBC999 shadow color #B86504. You will have to play with the setting to get what you like. For the cheeks use paint brush size around 15 and set opacity to 50 then gaussian blur 2 or 3. Lips just use paint brush set to 1. 16. Load the wing alpha channel on the wing layer. Flood fill with #FAECB6. Lock the transparency and air brush around the edges. If you don't have Eye Candy 4000 in the supply down load there is the wing mesh psp. Open that now and paste as new layer. Add new layer use the selection tool to make a rectangle like image below. Flood fill with a gold gradient, I used Jo-Ellen's gradient. Deselect apply the Eye candy 4000 weave preset two times.
Rotate this layer 45 degrees. Load the wing alpha channel selection. Invert and hit delete. Invert again and go to selections/modify/contract by 8 invert again and hit delete. Add new layer. Load wing selection again, Selections/modify/contract by 6 flood fill with gradient. Selections/modify/contract by 2 hit delete. Optional: If the mesh is a little too light or dark you can use the brightness/contrast to lighten or darken it a bit. Turn off all layers and merge the 3 wing layers. Duplicate and mirror image. 17. Click on the star layer and load alpha channel. Flood fill with gold gradient. Apply noise of 18 uniform and monochrome checked. Apply the Eye candy sm-starglass preset. Apply drop shadow of your choice. Duplicate star then flip image. Do this 5 times. Arrange a string of stars between her hands, and one for the bib on her dress. Use the draw tool set at 2. Use same gradient with repeats set at 7. Draw a string line from one hand to the other curving to look like stars are hanging from it. You can use your own bows or use mine. Add drop shadows to your liking. Add all your own little touches and she is all done.
