For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8 . This was written using 8 but it can be done in 7 with a few adjustments.

Below is the smudge settings I used.

Air brush settings.

You will need my alpha channel canvas here. On the canvas I have placed the colors I used.

1. Load back alpha channel, flood fill with 2nd color on chart.

2. Load front alpha channel, flood fill with 2nd color on chart.

3. Click back on the back layer. Load alpha channel and add new layer.  Spray color 5 and 7 as in screen shot. Smudge to blend.

4. Click on front layer and load alpha channel then add new layer. Spray using color 5 and 2 as in screen shot. Smudge to blend colors. Add new layer spray with colors 6 and 7 as in second screen shot.

I have a tendency to spray light. So I end up adding more layers to add more shading. Optional:  Add new layer and spray with #5E6A44 green for a  mossy look.

5. When you get it like you want add new layer and use draw tool size 4. Draw a line to look like a lip on the pot as in screen shot. Gaussian blur 2.
