Copper Bottom Fry Pan

Feel free to use your own colors for this.

By using this tutorial you agree to my terms

For this tutorial I used Corel   PSP 10 . This was written using 10 but it can be done in 8,9 or 7 with a few adjustments.

You can get the alpha channel here.

1. Load alpha channel pan inside. Flood fill with first color on chart. Use pre-set shape ellipse foreground color 2nd color on chart, background set to nil. Set size width to 1. Drag out a ellipse as in screen shot. This is your both line for the pan. Convert to raster layer.

2. Load alpha channel pan side. Flood fill with the first color on the second row of color chart.

3. Load alpha channel pan handle, flood fill with first color on third row of color chart.

Save you image.

4. Click on the pan bottom. Normally I lock the layer and air brush on that layer. You can if you want to. I am doing this just a bit different for this. Add new raster layer use the air brush with these settings, size 17, hardness 11, step 25, density 25 opacity 22. Air brush with second color as in screen shot. Make your strokes in a big circle around pan. don't worry about going out side the edges we will fix that later.

5. Air brush white as in screen shot.

6. Smudge to blend using these settings, Round brush, size 16, hardness 16, step 15, density 40, opacity 50.  Smudge in a circular motion.

7. Air brush using the first and second colors from the third row on the color chart. Alternate color till you get it similar to the screen shot. Smudge to blend in a circular motion.

8. Change to the white and add more as in screen shot. I added the darker green and rotated till I got what I liked.

9. Click back on the layer where you made the ellipse.  Lightly smudge around it. When you get it the way you want it load pan bottom alpha channel invert. Click on the shading layer and hit delete.

Save your image.

10. Click on the pan sides layer. This one we will lock and do our shading on it. Use the second and third color for shading as in screen shot below. Smudge to blend. Apply some white on top and smudge again.

11. Turn on rim layer that is on the canvas. You may make your own If you like.

12.Click on the handle layer. Use the second color on the third row color chart. Air brush around out side edges. Use the first two color in the second row of color chart as in screen shot. Smudge to blend. Use a thin line of white on top and smudge again.

13. Use the circle preset shape to make a small rivet on the handle. Apply inner bevel settings in screen shot below.
