For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8 .

You will need the canvas here.

This is the air brush settings I use.

This is the smudge settings I use.

We will be adding the color all on the same layer.

1. Load tube one alpha channel flood fill with color 1. Click on the lock in the layer pallet to lock. Airbrush around edges with color 2. Smudge in a downwards motion. Use colors 3 and 4 as in screen shot.

2. Load tube 2 alpha channel flood fill with color 5. Use color 6 around the bottom edge and black around the top then smudge to blend. Go to selections/modify/contract by 4, invert.  Go to adjust/contrast -31. Lower opacity to about 70.

3. Click back on the tube 1 layer and use white around the edges as in screen shot. Smudge to blend. Apply texture.

4. Load alpha channel tube 2 flood fill with color 7.  Use colors 2, 3, and 5 for shading. Do the same as in step 2 for the top. Do same for white on edges as in step 3.

Do the same for the rest of the Coral tube layers.
