For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8 .

You will need my alpha channel canvas here. You will click on the layer in the layer palette then go to Selections/Load/Save Selection/Load Selection from Alpha channel. I will just say load the selection name after this.

1. Load body selection flood fill with black. Deselect Click on the lock in the layer pallet. That sets the transparency of the layer and when you use the cut out you don't have to add a new layer. Apply cut out using these settings. Vertical 6, horizontal 1, opacity 100, blur 25, color #C0C0C0.

2. Load middle selection, flood fill with white. Do the same as above changing the horizontal to 6, repeat using horizontal and vertical -6.

3. Load eye selection, flood fill with white. Apply cut out change horizontal 0, vertical -2 opacity 100, blur 10, color #404040. repeat change vertical to 2.

4. Load eye center, flood fill with black. Apply inner bevel round change the angle to 357 and apply 2 times. Turn off all layers but the 2 eyes and merge visible. Duplicate/mirror image.

5. Load arm selection, flood fill with black. Apply cut out vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 100, blur 10, color #C0C00C. Repeat and change horizontal to 0. Duplicate/mirror image.

6. Load beak selection, flood fill with #F6DA14. Apply cut out vertical and horizontal 4, opacity 100, blur 14, color # AD780A. Repeat using -4 for vertical and horizontal.

7. Load foot selection, flood fill with same color as beak. Apply same cut out as in beak.

8. Load details selection using color # AD780A.

That's all there is to it.
