Princess Fairy Linda
Feel free to use your own colors for this.
By using this tutorial you agree to my terms For this tutorial you will need
Jasc PSP
8 . It can be done in 7
You
will need my alpha channel canvas here. You will click on
the layer in the layer palette then go to Selections/Load/Save Selection/Load
Selection from Alpha channel.
1. Click on first
wing layer, load wing from alpha-channel. Flood fill
with #F4F1D8. Deselect Click on the lock
in the layer pallet. Use the airbrush tool with these settings.
For the shading color I used # C7AC57.
Brush around the edges for the shading as in the
screen shot below.
Change to the smudge
tool using these settings.
Start from the out side top and pull in towards middle.
Continue around till you get it how you like it.
2. Do the same as above
for
the next wing layer. After you get around
the edges then change the Thickness to about 9 and change
the rotation to 58 and move towards center. Click a
couple times to get a line on the bottom curve of the
wing. Change the rotation to 29 for the top curve of
the wing. You should have something like below.
That is basically how
we are going to use the airbrush and smudge tool threw
out this tutorial. The only thing to change is the thickness
and rotation of the airbrush.
3. Load the leg layer
and flood fill with #EDE7D0. Lock layer and use cut
out with these settings. Vertical and horizontal
0, opacity 100, blur 12, color #E8A178. Do the
same for the other leg layer.
4. Click on the skirt
1 layer and flood fill with #D3CAE6, shading color is
#825A8A. Use the same airbrush settings but change the
size to 35. Do same as you did on the wings. Change
the thickness and rotation according to the direction
of the curves in the skirt. Do the same for each skirt
layers. Turn off all layers except the three skirt layers
and merge visible. Use the smudge tool to soften the
edges between layers.
5. Load the neck layer
and use the same colors you did on the legs. Change
the cut out blur to 10.
6. Click on the blouse
layer and flood fill with, DAB7D0, shadow color # C16675.
Do the same as other layers using the airbrush and smudge.
You can do the sleeve layer next so you wont have to
change colors.
7. Click on the arm
layer and flood fill with the same colors you used for
the legs. Change the cut out blur to 7.
8. Do the same for
the head layer and change the opacity to 79 and blur
to 13
You can use my face
provided in the download or draw your own.
9. Load the hair alpha-channel.
I used colors #D39E1E and #EEDA5C. I use the Hair-tight
curls preset that comes with PSP 8. Set the size
to about 10 and fill in the selection. Deselect and
click around the edges. Click on the bottom layer
and add new raster layer. Put some hair around the hand
and neck so it looks like it is behind the hand and
neck. If you are using PSP 7 I have provide a hair tube
that I made using the brush.
Hope everyone had fun with this.
