This is the smudge settings I use.
1.
Click
on
body
layer
and
load
body
alpha
channel,
flood
fill
with
color
1.

Click
on
markings
layer
and
load
body
alpha
channel,
flood
fill
with
color
2
3.
Do
the
same
with
yellow
stripes
layer
using
color
5.
Use
soften
tool
to
smooth
out
color.
4.
Do
the
same
with
the
blue
stripes
layer
using
color
1.
Smooth
with
soften
tool.
5.
Do
the
same
with
the
fin
layer
using
color
3.
Now
we
are
going
to
add
the
details
to
our
fish.
6.
Click
on
body
layer
and
use
color
3
size
2
or
3.
Load
alpha
channel
then
add
new
layer.
Airbrush
some
details
as
in
screen
shot.
Add
some
under
the
yellow
to
where
it
just
barley
shows.
Then
smudge.
Go
around
the
bottom
edge
of
fish
and
tail.
7.
Change
to
color
3.
Load
markings
alpha
channel
and
add
new
layer.
Spray
as
in
screen
shot
and
then
smudge.
I
turned
off
the
markings
so
you
could
see
better
where
to
spray.
8.
Deselect
and
add
new
layer.
Use
the
selection
tool,
ellipse
and
make
an
eye.
Apply
cut
out
horizontal
and
vertical
0,
opacity
100,
blur
12
color
#030303.
Keep
selected
and
airbrush
with
color
3
and
white
at
the
bottom
as
in
screen
shot.
Use
soften
tool
to
blend.
9.
Click
on
fin
layer
and
load
alpha
channel.
Use
airbrush
size
2
or
3
color
2.
Paint
in
some
spins
as
in
screen
shot
then
soften.
Use
color
#1
in
between
the
spins.
10.
Load
body
alpha
channel
add
new
layer.
Use
color
4
to
paint
on
tail
and
upper
fin,
use
color
6
for
the
spins.
 
11.
Add
new
layer.
Use
white
for
the
high
lights
at
top
of
head
and
on
fin
and
tail.
