For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 9 . This was written using 9 but it can be done in 8 or 7 with a few adjustments.

 You can get a canvas on second page for painting instructions.

Open new canvas 682X925 resolution 300.000.

I used the pen tool to draw the branch. Set foreground to nil and back ground to #D1CA79. Click on point to point . Connect Segments, create on vector and show nodes checked.  Draw a branch like the one below.

Add new vector layer name it leaves. Set background color to #A8BA4C. I used the pen tool for this too. Make a leaf similar to the one below.

Add new vector layer for leaf 2 below.

Add new vector layer for the next leaves. There are a couple small leaves so they can go on the same layer.

Add new vector layer for the next 2 leaves.

Add new vector layer. Use color #827920 for the foreground and make background nil. This is for the current stems. Set line size to 8 Click and turn handle as in first screen shot. Do the same as in second screen shot. Click apply Change size to 6 click on the end of first line as in next screen shot.

Click apply again and change size to 4 and make a few lines on the sides for the currants to hang on. Continue on and make some more stems. Last screen shot is what I ended up with.

Add new vector layer and go back to #A8BA4C color. draw new leaf as in screen shot below.

Add new vector layer draw the last leaf as in screen shot below.

Add new vector layer name it currant. Change background color to #983530 keep foreground nil. Move this layer under the berry stem layer. Draw out a small oval as in screen shot. You only need to make one. Add new layer and make one more and move it to the top in the layer pallet.

This is what I have done. After you paint the berries you can duplicate them.

Save as then duplicate then close original. Convert all vector layers to raster layers.
