By using this tutorial you agree to my terms

Feel free to use your own colors for this.

For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 9 . This was written using 9 but it can be done in 8 and 7 with some adjustments.

For those that are using my alpha channel canvas you can get it HERE  Included in with the canvas is a rock tile. It was made by my dearest friend  Opal

For PSP7 users you wont be able to use the distress brush.

The smudge brush I use you can get  SMUDGE BRUSH PRESETS AND BRUSHES  PJ-Distress is one that I use a lot to make a textured like effect.

I also use paint brushes from Digital Art Resources. She has lots of cool tuts and other things.

I use the Hairy brushes  If you don't have them you can get the brushes HERE

Please feel free to do your own vectoring.

Air Brush settings:

Load inside:  Flood fill with Opal's rock fill. Go to Adjust, brightness and contrast, brightness -94, contrast 0. Smudge to blend. Spray some black in the middle.

Load back: Flood fill with Opal's rock fill. Lock transparence in layer pallet. Apply cutout with these settings. Vertical -1, horizontal -2, opacity 65, blur 2. Apply two times.

Do the same for the front and rim layers.

Load roof back: Flood fill with 2nd color on chart. Use 1st and 3rd color for shading. Use 2nd air brush setting to add some black to darken. Smudge  side to side to blend.

Roof back slats: Use your pen tool size 3 and draw some slats as in screen shot. Change size to 2 and make a line going top to bottom. I lower the opacity on the roof so you could see the lines better. Use the hairy smudge brush for this. Go to Adjust, brightness and contrast, brightness -15, contrast 0. Lower opacity to around 60% if you like.

Legs: Do the same for the legs as you did for the roof. Don't darken with brightness.

Do the same for the Roof. Below is what I have done.

Handle: Flood fill with black.

Airbrush 1st and 2rd color on handle, then white on top. Smudge to blend.

Use #404040 around edges and center as in screen shot. Do the same on the other end of handle. Smudge to blend.

For the rope part I used the goldilocks paint brush preset I got from Digital Arts. Use the 2nd and 3rd colors on chart.  Use the lighten/darken tool to darken the top and bottom. Add new raster layer and move it below handle layer. Draw a rope going down into the well.

Use the lighten/darken tool to shade areas on the legs. Inside of left leg on bottom by the rocks, around the area where the handle connects to leg. Inside of right side.

Hope everyone had fun with this.
