Wooden Basket

For this tutorial you will need Jasc PSP 8 .
You will need the canvas and supplies here.
We will be skipping around a bit to different layers. So we wont always go in order they are in pallet.
1. Open the wicker tile. Select
the pattern foreground with the tile angle 0, scale 100. Select
the pattern background with color #231C0D. Open alpha-channel bottom,
flood fill with tile. Click on the lock 
in the layer pallet. Apply cut out with these settings, vertical
0, horizontal -5, opacity 100, blur 25, color #231C0D. Repeat changing
horizontal to 5. Use the smudge tool to bring in the ends for shading.
Load the alpha-channel again and add new layer. Air brush some color #E9E4DD and smudge as in screen shot.
add a little white to the top and smudge some more. If you get it to bright just lower the opacity some. Don't merge layers cause we will come back later to do some adjusting.
2. Click on band layer, load the band alpha-channel and do the same for the cut out and smudge. Add new layer air brush just around the bottom edge in spots and top about size10. Smudge as before.
3. Click on inside layer and load alpha-channel. Flood fill with tile. Click on adjust/brightness/contrast. Brightness -78. Add new layer, use air brush to spray some dark brown on the bottom and middle then spray some of the tile on top edges as in screen shot. Smudge to blend. Click on the first layer and smooth it out some where the pattern shows threw. That part is optional.
4. Click on top ring layer load the top ring and flood fill with tile. Apply cut out change vertical and horizontal to 0, and blur to 6 color #E9E4DD. Smudge around to bring in edges. Load alpha-channel again, add new layer and air brush some white on edges. Smudge to smooth edges.
5. Click on handle layer and load alpha-channel change angle to 90 flood fill with tile. Apply cut out with these settings, vertical and horizontal 0, opacity 100, blur 25, color #231C0D. Use smudge to bring in the dark edges. Add new layer and load alpha-channel and add some white and #E9E4DD as before. Smudge to blend.
6. Click on inside handle layer and flood fill with tile. Click on adjust/brightness/contrast. Brightness -54. Add new layer and spray some dark brown at the top and tile as in screen shot and blend.
7. Click on handle rim layer and load alpha-channel flood fill with tile. Lock layer apply cut out changing blur to 5. Use smudge to blend just a little bit.
8. Now we are just going to make a few adjustments. Click on the bottom layer and load alpha-channel. Add new layer use air brush with #231C0D. Spray some just under the band and drag out to look like some shadow as in screen shot
Do the same for the rim. This adds some depth to the bottom. Now is the time to add some more high lights if needed.
That's all there is to making your Wooden Basket.
